Largest formaldehyde plant in the world begins production!

On July 1, 2001 operations began at D.B. Western's newest formaldehyde plant located just outside of Houston, Texas. The plant has a production capacity of 1.2 billion pounds of formaldehyde per year, which makes it the largest formaldehyde plant in the world.

The strategic alliance between DB Western and the Dupont corporation is a continuing effort by DB Western to meet the needs of their customers in a ever changing business environment.

The plant is set up for direct delivery of formaldehyde to Dupont via a pipeline. Customers include Georgia Pacific and others. The plant features a large tank farm and truck and rail car loading facilities.
